Fleeting moments captured in real-time.
These drawings are indulgences in the details we can miss or wish we could freeze on a big day. They are honest observations made by a playful hand, full of inaccuracies but captured for the joy of pausing to see the world as it is at that moment. There's nothing I'd love to do more than to capture these special moments with ink before they disappear.
booking process
01 - Inquire
Send a quick note to confirm your date, venue and selected package.
02 - Chat
Discuss any questions you may have, whether it's about my sketching process or something specific you'd like to capture.
03 - Sign
I'll issue an event contract outlining the sketchbook package and an invoice for 20% of the grand total - once I have your autograph and payment your date will be booked in.
04 - Event
4 weeks prior to the big day, I'll send the remaining balance in an invoice. Then we're all set and I'll see you on the wedding day.

What to expect
Rather than formal compositions or portraits of people posing to be drawn, you can expect candid sketches ranging from tiny details in the decor to illustrations of your guests enjoying your event. The sketches are meant to capture moments in a genuine way, which means I'll be quietly observing and recording moments at your event, with little to no intervention. I'll subtly move around the space to capture different aspects and moments. The drawings are also candid in their style and I embrace imperfections as part of the way I draw, so expect to see partial drawings, and lines to be drawn over as people in the scene move.
Timing
Prior to your event, the consultation call is an opportunity to discuss any particular details you are hoping to capture, and we can review details such as the dress code and a point of contact for the event day, and any other information I'll need to know. In the case of art prints, we would determine the size and orientation of the prints at this time.
On the day of your event, I will arrive 1 hour early to begin documenting details in the decor and space. I will need at least 4-6 hours of drawing time to fill the sketchbook album. I'll be moving around the space as I draw so will not need a setup.
What's included
All live sketches include a consultation before your event, 100km roundtrip travel, and all art supplies / materials.
At the end of your event, you will be able to take a first glance at the sketchbook. Within a week of the event, your sketchbook will be delivered to you. Art prints will be printed and shipped after the event.
